Subscribe to our newsletter
When you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address, first and last name, company name (if applicable), language, country of origin, and professional category (artist, broadcaster, observer) via a form.
Why: We use this information to subscribe you to our newsletter, as requested, and to personalize our communications with you.

Apply for a job
When you decide to apply to work with us, we ask you to provide certain personal information in order to process your application.
We collect:
- Last Name
- First Name
- Email Address
- CV
Any information you voluntarily provide during the application process.
Why: We use this information to review your application, to check if your profile matches our requirements, and to respond to your application, if applicable.
Please note, however, that if you refuse to provide the requested personal information, we may not be able to process your application.
Submit your application for the official CINARS Biennale program
When you submit your application for the CINARS Biennale, we ask you to provide the following information:
- Name of organization (if applicable)
- Position within the organization (if applicable)
- Phone number
- Address
- Full name
- Biography
- Photos of the application performance
- Link to the full performance and/or an excerpt
- Password to access the performance video
Why: We use this information to review your application, to check if your profile matches what we are looking for, and to contact you if we have any questions or if we decide to select your application.
Please note, however, that if you refuse to provide the requested personal information, we may not be able to process your application.
Submit your application for international assignments
When you apply for the international missions in which CINARS participates, we ask you to provide the following information:
- Name of the organization
- Nationality of the organization
- Position within the organization
- Gender
- Language
- Address
- Telephone number
- Website of the organization
- A biography
- Photos of the application presentation
Why: We use this information to review your application, to check if your profile matches what we are looking for, and to contact you if we have any questions or if we decide to select your application.
Please note, however, that if you refuse to provide the requested personal information, we may not be able to process your application.
Register for the CINARS Biennale
When you register for the CINARS Biennale, we collect the following information:
Pour les artistes (Off CINARS) :
- Representative's name
- Email address
- Postal address
- Telephone number
- Photo ID
- Age range
- Company name
- Nationality
- Discipline
- Company biography (CV)
- Company website
- Photos of your performances and video links
- Bank details (if applicable)
For presenters and for the purpose of booking airline tickets:
- Your name (as it appears on your passport)
- Passport number and expiry date
- Whether or not you require a visa
- Address
- Telephone number
- Any medication we need to be aware of
For observers:
- Name
- Email address
- Postal address
- Telephone number
- Photo Identity
- Age range
Why: We use this information to register you for the Biennale. We also use this information for logistical and organizational purposes related to the event, including booking flights. Finally, we use this information for statistical purposes.
Please note, however, that if you refuse to provide the requested personal information, we may not be able to register you.
Contact us
You may wish to contact us if you have any problems or questions. You can contact us by email. During this process, we will collect information such as your:
- First name
- Last name
- Information you voluntarily provide
- Email address
Why: We use this information to identify you and respond to your questions or requests.
Please note, however, that if you refuse to provide the requested personal information, we may not be able to process your request.
How do we use your data?
In addition to the specific purposes mentioned above, we generally use your data to:
- Communicate for promotional purposes (in a B2B context);
- Compile statistics to guide business decisions;
- Ensure we comply with our contractual and legal obligations to you or any other person;

- Improve our Site by developing new features, conducting research, and maintaining its current performance.

With whom do we share your data and why?
When you register for the CINARS Biennale, you consent to your data (first name, last name, organization, and email address) being shared with all participants for professional purposes, as required by a networking event like the Biennale, which constitutes its raison d'être.
We do not sell our users' personal information under any circumstances. Your data is only shared in accordance with this Policy. When you consent to this Policy, however, we may share your personal information with the following parties:
Third-party providers: As part of our business activities, we may need to share some of your data with certain third parties.
For example, we may share some of your data with our IT providers to fulfill their mandate or perform a service contract. This may include, for example, the marketing services we use.
Generally, the providers we use will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to perform the services they provide to us, such as hosting our Site using Laravel in Ontario.
However, some third-party service providers have their own privacy policies regarding the information we are required to provide them when we use their services. For these providers, we recommend that you carefully read their privacy policies to understand how they will handle your personal information.
Please note that some of these providers are located outside of Quebec, and your data may therefore be transferred abroad. The location of each of our IT providers is specified below.
Once you leave our Site or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Policy.

We will take the necessary steps to protect the confidentiality of this information and will destroy it if the transaction is not completed or if its use is no longer necessary for the completion of the transaction.

Your rights

Access and control of your data
You can review, modify, or delete your personal information by emailing us at gdore@cinars.org or using the contact information provided at the end of this Policy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible. Please provide sufficient detail so that we can identify you and respond to your request.
Location where your data is stored
Your personal information is hosted in Ontario, on Laravel's servers.
How long your data will be kept
We will retain all collected information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it or for other essential purposes, such as complying with legal obligations. We will destroy this data at the end of this period, or if you decide to withdraw your consent. If you request it, you will receive confirmation that your request has been processed once your data has been deleted.
Security
To protect your personal data, we take reasonable precautions to ensure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.
For example, our Site uses HTTPS for communications, secured by an SSL certificate.
We also change the passwords of our temporary staff whenever their terms end.

Age of consent
We do not solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 14. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that a child under the age of 14 has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 14 without parental consent, we will delete any information that may have been collected.
