About the show
POV explores how gaze and language shape the way bodies are understood. Drawing on visual archives of hysteria, social media “meme” culture, mythology, and pop references, the piece unfolds like a performative lecture where poses, images, and words collide.
Choreographer and anthropologist Núria Guiu examines how bodies are read, classified, and performed: how a gesture becomes a legend, a legend becomes an identity, and how visibility shapes our own perception.
With humor, precision, and vulnerability, the work reveals the tension between being seen and being understood, suggesting spaces of perception, invisibility, or echo that resonate beyond mere appearance.
