About the show
Pomelo is a tiny pink elephant that was born under a dandelion, in a garden. With humour and sensitivity, Pomelo discovers the world around him before experiencing the shock of fall’s arrival. And then oh, my, it’s winter! Beyond his distress, Pomelo uses his ability to adapt with creativity.
For ages 3 and up, this wordless show is an adaptation of the book “Pomelo est amoureux” written by Ramona Bădescu and Benjamin Chaud. Pomelo loves his garden. He is saddened at the sight of a sagging strawberry plant and amazed by a snowflake. Pomelo is the quintessential personification of childhood.
Having performed nearly 200 times in North America and Asia, "Pomelo" captivates young audiences by exploring the amazing cycle of the seasons. Through a playful use of puppets, shadow theatre, live double bass and the diffusion of scents, "Pomelo" is an enchanting and enveloping experience!
