About the show
Peekaboo, the verb to be, Bartók's Mikrokosmos. Cas Public delivers a poetic journey through learning, language, and the construction of self — playful for children, moving for adults, rigorous for both.
Three threads weave through this new creation by Hélène Blackburn and Cai Glover: peekaboo, that first awakening to absence and return; the acquisition of words, with the verb to be as anchor of identity; and music, inspired by Béla Bartók's Mikrokosmos — at once a masterwork and a pedagogical method.
Carried by five performers, the piece sets movement, speech, and sign language in dialogue through a hypnotic play of appearances and transformations. Each gesture reveals the mysterious meaning of becoming: growing up in a world in perpetual change.
"MIKRO / BARTÓK" is an invitation to see differently, to listen anew, to feel fully.
