Magna Mater

On an island suspended outside of time, a human being emerges from a milky basin of water. In this liminal space that welcomes trans bodies in search of salvation, this being will attempt to come to terms with its physical form.

Guided by an enigmatic feminine figure, they undertake a rite of passage marked by trials in hope of gaining access to an embodied existence. Each stage becomes a mutation, each gesture a testing of the flesh and of what it means to inhabit a body.
