About the show
Iris is a performer. She wanders from place to place, stopping wherever she can to talk with children about feminism, openness, and positive masculinity. These are big topics to explore with young audiences, but Iris believes in children’s intelligence and in their ability to reflect on essential questions.
Using her small synthesizer and drum machine, she raises awareness about the dangers of polarization and intolerance. To do so, she avoids a didactic approach, because Iris possesses a powerful tool: poetry—flowing straight from her heart and open to many interpretations.
With sensitivity and gentleness, she invites children to rethink masculinity as something caring, compassionate, and emotionally aware, restoring the full strength and value of tenderness.
