Forest Shimmers, Waves Grow Still begins with a simple realization: after years of enduring like a forest, humans must now learn the quiet of the waves. Moving through a sensory journey of desire–anxiety–breath–stillness, the performance guides audiences back to the forgotten rhythm of their own breath.
Here, stillness is not the absence of movement, but a slow return to oneself. As four performers weave the voices of eight instruments into layers of breath and resonance, attention gradually shifts from one’s own breathing to the breathing that fills the shared space. In that quiet awareness, connection begins to emerge.
